Advert Pictures

I have taken more photographs for my advert. The reason I did this was so that I could use a different style of photo for the advert.

I took my model to Brighton which is one of the locations for the video we are shooting. I thought that would add some continuity to my promo-pak.

In terms of costume, the model was dressed in summer like clothes, and to emphasise this had sunglasses. The weather was good, and this added a happy feeling to the shots and the expression of her face.

After uploading the pictures onto the computer, I asked a few people their opinion on the photo's in comparison to the previous ones I had taken and used on the digipak.

The general feeling is that the original photos I had taken were more suited to the style of Florence and the Machine and that it would be better to use them for the advert.

Due to the nature of the original photographers, this photograph for example, is very different. Due to the graffiti. However I felt the expression on the models face and the body language, for me made this a shot indicative of Florence and the Machine.

I have decided I am going to take the advice and not use these photographs in my advert. Instead I am going to use the original photos I took and used in my digipak. This is because that will make the overall look of the promo pack more coherent and in keeping with the understated and retro style of Florence and the Machine.
